For such purists we are going to talk about the five off-road capable SUVs that is expected to hit the market in the coming years.
2013 Ford Explorer Sport
With a V6 engine powering the beefed up chassis and with stiffened suspension the 2013 Ford Explorer Sport is one to watch out for.
It has been made into an aggressive machine with better feel of the steering and good off-road capabilities.
The expected date for launch is late summer of 2013.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel
This is a vehicle that is expected to roll out in the early part of 2013 and many are wanting to test drive as they want to experience the diesel engine that is likely to be a V6 with about 406 lb ft of torque.
This engine is currently used by Fiat in Europe and has been a success. Most of the other off-road capabilities and the features will remain the same as the Jeep Cherokee Grand.
2014 Nissan Xterra
The 2014 Nissan Xterra is expected to come down during late 2013 and is said to be on a body on frame truck chassis.
